Housing Group Sets Ad Campaign, Long Island Business News (September 22, 2000)

The Long Island Housing Partnership has launched a foreclosure prevention program to help educate homeowners who are having problems making their mortgage payments.

The campaign will focus on ways they can avoid foreclosure and keep their home. The multi-media advertising campaign, funded by a $10,000 grant from the Federal housing agency, Fannie Mae, was developed and is being managed by the Holtsville-based public relations firm Grossman Strategies.

The campaign includes in-kind contributions by Newsday and

Cablevision Systems. Melville-based Newsday is donating ad space in its Friday Real Estate section and Bethpage-based Cablevision is providing production facilities and airtime for public service announcements.

Radio stations WLUX-AM, WHLI-AM, WMJC-FM, and WLNG-FM/AM are providing bonus spots as part of their broadcast agreements.

Information on foreclosure prevention strategies can also be found on the Partnership's new Web site, www.lihp.org.
